Alright, I’ve had my say on the whole John Piper tornado debacle over the last couple of days (“clarification” here).  Now, back to normal blogging.  There was officially no Old Testament lectionary reading today after I jumped the gun last week.  Today’s first reading was from Revelation.  That made me think about possibly starting a new series of blog posts on the Old Testament in the Book of Revelation.  I thought this might be good since everyone clicked on the blog post a while back debunking the Obama as antichrist video.  There’s a lot of misinformation out there about the end times, the Book of Revelation, etc.  It is not my goal to debunk all of that since there is no end to it and it would take a lifetime, but I thought I would try to shed some light on the Book of Revelation by looking at some of the Old Testament texts that are used there.  What do you think?  Would this be a good series?
